Superficial Swim

By Joan Victoria Cañete
Poetry

A lost oarlock holds
back the ticker of faded
souls. The knight of candles
spare the lambent embers
and curate the rocks
of my finite path. Dented
gunwales are hunting.
Should I look back? Now,
clutch my hooks
on bulwarks you attack.
